What is personal data?

Personal data is information that tells us something about you or that we can relate to you. You share your personal data with us when you participate in the Urimon study. This includes your contact information (such as name, address, place of residence and e-mail address). We also record special personal data such as information about your health.

What do we use personal data for?

We use your data for Scientific Research. Medical scientific research involves finding better ways to prevent, detect or treat diseases and conditions. As part of the Urimon study, we are developing a new method to detect diseases at an earlier stage.

With whom do we share your personal data?

  • Y2Y shares your data with third parties to send the letterbox package.
  • Y2Y may provide some of your information to third parties, such as health care providers or databases such as IKNL and Palga. However, this is done only with your consent.
  • Y2Y may also share your data with third parties for scientific research. This data is provided anonymously. This is only possible if you have given your consent.

Who is allowed to see my personal data?

  • Urimon team researchers. The principal investigator and other authorized members of the research team may view the data, but only for the purpose of the study.
  • The MREC (Medical Research Ethics Committee). They may view the data as part of review and oversight.
  • The Health and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ). This government agency supervises the conduct of medical scientific research and may inspect data for this purpose.
  • You may, of course, see for yourself what data we process about you. You may also authorize someone else to do so on your behalf.

This is how we take care of your personal data

We provide good security

We spend a lot of money and time securing our systems where your personal data is stored. Y2Y works according to the Code for Information Security (ISO27001/Nen7510). We continuously monitor whether the security continues to work properly.
If something does go wrong or threatens to go wrong, we fix it as soon as possible. If it appears that sensitive personal data has been leaked or lost we report this “data leak” as soon as possible to the Personal Data Authority and to you, if necessary.

We have a duty of confidentiality

All employees within Y2Y have a duty of confidentiality. We treat data you entrust to us with care and only authorized personnel may view and process your data. We regularly check that everyone adheres to these agreements and intervene in case of violations.

The Personal Data Authority (AP) can check our compliance with privacy rules.
The Health and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ) supervises the conduct of medical research.
